Genre: Reality, Cooking
Premise: If there's one thing that this Food Network series has proven over the years, it's that there's no shortage of bad cooks in America. Returning mentors Anne Burrell and Tyler Florence are charged with leading 14 new recruits through boot camp, trying to improve the contestants' culinary abilities. As usual, the season begins with the recruits preparing their signature dishes for Burrell and Florence, who then choose their teams based on the potential they see in the cooks. One recruit from each team is eliminated through weekly challenges. In the season finale, the two remaining recruits cook three-course meals for culinary experts, who must decide who did a better job -- that person earns the $25,000 grand prize and bragging rights for the mentor. This season's group of culinary-challenged individuals includes a lunch lady who isn't allowed to cook at work, a truck driver, an Army veteran, and a special education teacher.
