Premise: Becoming a restaurant's executive chef is what all chefs strive to achieve in their careers. In each episode of this reality series, three out-of-work chefs are given that opportunity. Each week, the general manager of a restaurant goes to recruiter, and show host, Carrie McCully to pick three chefs to be given the opportunity to become the eatery's executive chef. After a brief face-to-face meeting, the chefs are each tasked with creating a dish and presenting it to the general manager, who then eliminates one of the three chefs. The two remaining chefs then run the restaurant for a night -- creating the menu, working with the staff and running a busy dinner service. After that night, Carrie and the general manager choose one of the contestants to become the restaurant's new executive chef.
